Bryant downs Oral Roberts Monday night

NORMAN, Okla. – The Bryant University men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend in Oklahoma with a 4-2 victory over Oral Roberts on Monday night.

Bryant opened the day with a 7-0 loss at the hands of No. 22 Oklahoma. The Bulldogs finished their Oklahoma trip with a 2-4 record. They will now head to Colorado for four matches to close out their trip.

How It Happened

  • Bryant was able to grab the doubles point for the first time this season, winning at 2 and 3.
  • Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) and Guido Argentini (Boca Raton, Fla.) won 6-2, while Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) and Alexander Schou (Holte, Denmark) won 6-2.
  • The Bulldogs then clinched the match with victories at 3, 4 and 5.
  • Argentini, Ortiz-Garcia and Schou all won in straight sets, with Argentini clinching the match at 3.
  • In the first match of the day, No. 22 Oklahoma won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to down the Black and Gold.
