Bulldogs fall to Denver on Thursday

DENVER, Colo. – The Bryant University men's tennis team fell to the University of Denver, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon.  

Thursday was the first of four matches in the greater Denver area for the Black and Gold. Bryant will face Northern Colorado and Air Force on Friday.

How It Happened

  • Denver claimed the doubles point with wins at 1 and 2. Alexander Schou (Holte, Denmark) and Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) were up 5-4 at 3 before it went unfinished.
  • The Pioneers won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
  • Schou went toe-to-toe with Ignacio R. Crespo at 5, falling 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).
  • Teague Burger (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) went to three sets at 6, falling 6-4, 2-6, 4-6.
