SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Head coach Shayne Lotito and the Bryant University softball staff have announced five clinics over the next few months, including three specialization clinics, a youth clinic and a summer clinic.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Following a solid senior season, Hayley Bottino (Canyon Country, Calif.) of the Bryant University softball team was named to the 2016 NFCA Division I Northeast Region Third Team as a utility player, having played first base, third base and pitcher for the Bulldogs this year.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – After tying the game in the top of the fifth, the Bryant University softball team fell, 3-1, to No. 3 Robert Morris, after the Colonials put together two runs off three hits in the bottom of the sixth to eliminate the Bulldogs from the NEC Tournament on Friday afternoon in Brooklyn.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – In a close battle with No. 1 seeded LIU Brooklyn, the Bulldogs fought to tie the game twice, before the Blackbirds run in the bottom of the fifth sealed home team’s, 4-3, victory in game one of the Northeast Conference Championships on Thursday afternoon in Brooklyn.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Seniors Elle Madsen (Wheat Ridge, Colo.) and Hayley Bottino (Canyon Country, Calif.) were named to the Northeast Conference Second Team, following Madsen’s conference performance in the circle and Bottino’s versatility in the field, as announced by the league on Wednesday.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Trailing 2-0 heading in the top of the fifth, the Bryant University softball team scored five runs in the inning, before freshman Kaleigh Goulart’s (Marion, Mass.) RBI single up the middle drove in the Bulldogs’ game-winning score by senior Liana Ogata (Tustin, Calif.), as Bryant won 6-5, Wednesday afternoon in Worcester.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In a must win series, the Bryant University softball team responded to the pressure, honoring the senior class with a sweep over Central Connecticut on senior day on Saturday in Smithfield. Senior Elle Madsen (Wheat Ridge, Colo.) threw nine strikeouts in the 3-2 game one victory, while classmate Hayley Bottino (Canyon Country, Colo.) hit the game-winning homer in the 5-3 game two win.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Coming off a nonconference win earlier in the week, the Bryant University softball team wraps up the Northeast Conference slate, playing host to Central Connecticut on Saturday for senior day at 1 and 3 p.m., before hitting the road to take on Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday at 1 and 3:15 p.m.
