Ermish named NEC Player of the Week

Smithfield, R.I. - Gabrielle Ermish (Pottstown, Pa.) of the Bryant University softball team was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

During the Black and Orange Challenge last weekend (Feb 21-23) Ermish posted four hits and seven RBI's. Of her seven hits, one was a double vs. Presbyterian and another was a grand slam against Georgia St. As a pitcher Ermish pitched in three of the four games earning ten strikeouts total during the weekend tournament.

Freshman Aleix Hudson (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and classmate Kylie Kenney (Jamison, Pa.) both were named NEC Prime Performers of the Week. Hudson compiled five hits and four RBI's in Georgia over the past weekend. She hit a double vs. Georgia St. and a two-run home run vs. Presbyterian. Kenney pitched a complete game striking out six batters against Mercer giving the Bulldogs their first win of the season.
