French releases non-conference schedule

Smithfield, R.I. - Head coach Nick French of the Bryant University softball announced the non-conference schedule for the 2021 season Wednesday.

The Bulldogs will play in a total of 47 games that includes 15 non-conference games and 32 Northeast Conference games.

The season begins down in Fairfax, Va., with a four-game series that will be played in two double-headers beginning on Saturday, Mar. 6.

The Black and Gold will then travel to New York to faceoff against Fordham in a Sunday (Mar. 14) doubleheader. Bryant then heads to Baltimore to play four games, two against UMBC (Mar. 20) and a pair versus Morgan St. (Mar. 21). The Bulldogs will finally head back to the Ocean State for a single-game against Brown (Mar. 23).

The University of Maine will then head down to Smithfield to faceoff in a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader on Apr. 6. The final two non-conference games of the season will be a road contest versus UMass Lowell (Apr. 21) and a home game against Rhode Island (Apr. 28).
