Camarillo and Paolantonio record seven RBIs in the extra-inning loss to MC
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Courtney Paolantonio and Tonio Camarillo of the Bryant University softball team recorded seven RBIs in the extra-inning loss to Northeast Conference opponent Merrimack at home on Thursday.
Courtney Paolantonio had four RBIs on two doubles and a two-run home run. Camarillo went 4-5 with three RBIs and two stolen bases.

- In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Bulldogs had runners on second and third with two outs but could not bring the game-winning run home.
How it Happened
- Toni Camarillo began the bottom of the first inning with a single and then advanced to second on a wild pitch. Courtney Paolantonio scored the game's first run on a double, followed by an Aleix Hudson RBI single (2-0).
- Merrimack executed a double steal with runners on the corners to earn their first run of the contest in the top of the second inning (2-1).
- Sarah McKeveny produced a leadoff walk and then advanced to second on a groundout, which led to an RBI double to deep center from Megan Marcel (3-1).
- During the top of the fourth inning, the Warriors launched a three-run home run over the right-field wall to earn a one-run lead (4-3).
- With two outs, Camarillo slapped a single through the right side of the infield. She then stole second to get in scoring position. Courtney Paolantonio then smacked a double in the gap to tie the game at four.
- Merrimack hit three consecutive RBI singles to gain a three-run lead in the top of the fifth inning (7-4).
- Trystan Salvador hit a leadoff single in the bottom of the sixth inning. Alexis Clancy recorded a pinch-hit double to place runners on second and third and were brought home on a Camarillo single (7-6). Courtney Paolantonio then retained the lead for Bryant with a two-run home run over the left-center wall (8-7).
- The Warriors responded with a two-Rbi single with two outs to earn the lead and extend the game to the bottom of the seventh inning (9-8).
- Abby Trimble pinch-hit with two outs and ripped a single past the third baseman in the bottom of the seventh inning. Clancy was then walked, which led to an RBI single from Camarillo to tie the game (9-9).
- During the top of the eighth inning, Merrimack hit an RBI single, scoring two runs, the final runs of the contest (11-9).
