As a senior: Did not compete during the 2019-20 season.

As a junior: Had a solid junior season competing in long jump.

Indoor – Competed in long jump posting a best mark of 6.09 at the NEC Championship.

Outdoor – Primarily competed in long jump ... Set a new personal-best of 6.98m at the Black and Gold Invitational finishing third overall.

As a sophomore: Competed in the 60m, long jump, triple jump, and 100m as a sophomore in 2017-18. 

Indoor - Posted best time of 7.69 in the 60m ... Posted best jump of 12.23m in triple jump and 6.13m in long jump. 

Outdoor - Competed in the long jump, triple jump and 100m ... Posted best jumps at 6.18m in long jump and 12.11m in triple jump ... Posted best time at 12.21 in the 100m.  

As a freshman: Competed in the long jump and triple jump as a freshman in 2016-17.

Indoor - Posted season-bests of 6.26m in the long jump and 12.13m in the triple jump.

Outdoor - Posted top jumps of 6.25m in the long jump and 12.13m in the triple jump. 

Before Bryant: Varsity football and both indoor and outdoor track and field last three years at Duxbury High School, running track for coaches Greg Seery and Ron Glennon ... School Record holder for indoor long jump and 4x100 in 2015 ... Three-time Patriot League champ in football (2013-15) ... Patriot league long jump champion 2016, indoor Patriot League All-Star 2016 ... Indoor and outdoor track rookie of the year 2014 ... Indoor track team MVP 2016 ... Indoor track Patriot Ledger All Scholastic ... Football captain, indoor track captain, outdoor track captain, fifth place at D4 State Meet.

Personal: The son of Eric and Cattina Giumetti, James has an older sister, Emily, who played lacrosse at UConn for four years.
