Bulldogs hit the road for UMass Lowell

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's and women's track and field team hit the road for the last time this season when they travel to UMass Lowell for the George Davis Invitational on Saturday, April 17. The Bulldogs are set to host the last two meets of 2021 including the NEC Championship.

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Sophomore Kasey Thomas shattered Bryant's shot put record at last week's meet with a 13.29m mark. Thomas finished second overall in the meet and now ranks first in the NEC in shot put.
  • Junior Jason Dolan also shined at Merrimack in the 800m. Dolan set a personal best of 1:51.75 in the event ranking second in the NEC. The Massachusetts native also helped the 4x400 team to a second-place finish at Merrimack.
  • In the 110m hurdles, junior Kevin Aroke posted a PR of 15.50 and now ranks third all-time at Bryant and sits at fifth in the NEC.
  • Senior Brett Cloutier is the second-ranked men's shot putter in the conference after throwing a personal best of 15.27m at Merrimack last week. Cloutier took first overall and is now second all-time at Bryant.
  • Sophomore Lily LaGoy moved into the top-10 for discus in the NEC. Lagoy is now sixth in the conference after posting a 37.28m mark at Merrimack. Lagoy also ranks second in the conference in shot put behind Thomas.
