Bryant to Compete in New England Track Championships

BOSTON, MA- The Bryant track and field squads will head to Boston this weekend to compete in the NEICAAA New England track and field championships. Seven Bryant athletes earned automatic qualifiers through their performances so far this season, while numerous others were also selected to compete.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Emma Garrity qualified for three events (400m, 500m, 600m), the only Bulldog to do so. She's run a 57.61 in the 400, the second best mark in the NEC this season. She also broke school records in the 500 (1:15.34) and 600 (1:36.17). Her time in the 500 is the quickest in the conference.

  • William Bittrich ran a 14:52.05 in the 5000m at last week's Terrier Invite, setting a new school record. The time was also third best in the conference this season.

  • Lois Warden broke the school record in the pole vault at last week's Terrier Invite. Her height of 3.45 meters was her second NEICAAA qualifying vault this season, and is fifth best in the NEC.

  • Caleb Tondora tied the school record in the high jump at the Bates Invitational earlier this season. His jump of 1.95m is also tied for fourth best in the conference.

  • Andrew Canale and William Remkiewicz both qualified in the 400 meters. Their times os 48.13 and 50.37 are both top ten in the NEC this season.

  • Brett Cloutier qualified in the shot put with a throw of 15.63 at the Bryant Throws Competition. It's the fifth best mark in the NEC this season.
