SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant track and field teams will compete in their lone home meet of the season this weekend, and the second in the outdoor schedule. The Bulldogs will be hosting twelve teams for the two day Black and Gold Invitational.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Emma Garrity was Bryant's top finisher at the season opening High Point Invitational on March 18, finishing second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.77. She also ran a 25.21 in the 200 meters, the third best mark in Bryant history.

  • Freshman Savannah Pineda made a strong impression in her outdoor debut at High Point, setting a new program record with a 12.07 in the 100 meters.

  • William Remkiewicz came close to another program record in the 200 meters at High Point,  running the second best time in Bryant history at 21.72.

  • Emmett Ruote placed seventh in the first javelin event of the year at High Point, with a distance of 61.09 meters. The throw also set the second best mark in Bulldog history.
