Jasmine Hope Named NEC Field Athlete of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J.- Bryant track and field sophomore Jasmine Hope has been named NEC women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at Saturday's Ocean State Invitational. She placed first in both the long jump (5.91 meters) and 100 meters (12.02) in Providence en route to her first career NEC weekly honor.

Hope's jump distance is the best mark in the NEC this season, over a foot longer than second place. It is also just 0.1 meters shy of her program record, set last season. Her winning time in the 100 also sets a school record and is a top-five time in the conference this season.

She and the rest of the Bulldogs will be heading west this week to compete in a trio of meets in California from Wednesday through Saturday.
