Bulldogs Take Five Event Wins at Brown Season Opener

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Bryant track and field teams kicked off their indoor season on Saturday, racing to five event wins at Brown's Alden Invitational. The women's team placed third in the team standings, while the men came in fourth.

Ryan Slaney and Jasmine Trott combined on an event sweep for the Bulldogs, as they both won in the 3000 meters. Emma Garrity, Jasmine Hope, Emma Green, and the men's 4x400 relay team also captured victories for Bryant.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Slaney picked up where he left off in cross country, as the Bulldogs' leading finisher at the conference championships crossed the 3000 meter finish line at 8:29.20.

  • Trott also continued her distance success, winning the women's 3000 in 10:14.08.

  • Emma Green and Jasmine Hope crossed in a photo finish in the 60 meters, both finishing with a top time of 7.71.

  • Emma Garrity kicked off her indoor season with a winning time of 1:16.91 in the 500.

  • The men's 4x400 relay team of Ethan Ferraiola, Jacob Goodman, William Remkiewicz, and Vincent Sivo took first place with a time of 3:23.99.

  • Freshmen Green and Sivo both took event wins in their collegiate debuts.

  • Green and Hope (60m), Green (high jump), Grace Yost (60m hurdles), and Kasey Thomas (shot put) all set program records during the meet.
