Coach Switzer Announces 2023 Outdoor Schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Bryant head track and field coach Mitchell Switzer has announced the team's schedule for the 2023 outdoor season. The Bulldogs will compete in eight regular season meets, headlined by the Black and Gold Invitational on March 31 and April 1.

Bryant will open just two weeks after the conclusion of the indoor season when they head south to compete in the Bob Davidson Invitational at High Point on March 7 and 8. The Bulldogs will be back in Smithfield two weeks later for their home meet on Friday the 31st and Saturday the 1st at the Track and Turf Complex.

The Black and Gold meet kicks off a busy month of April, with the team competing six more times before the end of the month. April 8 will see the Bulldogs take on the UMass Invitational in Amherst, followed by the mid-week UMass Multi-Meet for the heptathlon and pentathlon on the 12th and 13th. Bryant will take a longer road trip that weekend, heading to Pennsylvania for the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on the 15th and 16th.

The Bulldogs will take their talents to a pair of events on the fourth weekend of April, with the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville and the George Davis Invitational at UMass Lowell taking place between the 20th and 22nd. Their final regular season meet will come the following weekend with the Pre-Conference Invitational at UMass on the 29th.

The America East Championships will take place May 6-7 at UAlbany, followed by the NEICAAA New England Championships on the 13th and 14th at a location to be determined. The NCAA First Round will be held May 24-27 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
