SCOUTING THE HAWKS
The Hawks post a 3-5 record so far on the season topping William & Mary most recently on November 30, 50-45. Last season, Hartford met with Maine in the America East Championship and fell, 74-65.
Sierra DaCosta leads the Hawks scoring 14.9 points per game. William & Mary held her to just five in Hartford's last game, but DaCosta scored 21 points against No. 4/5 Louisville and has gone off for double-digit scoring in five of Hartford's eight games. Last season, DaCosta dropped 13 points on Bryant.
Kim McNeil leads Hartford in her third season as head coach.
SERIES HISTORY
Bryant met with Hartford for the first time last season in the Division I era falling to the Hawks, 59-47. While in Division II, Bryant led the series, 6-1.
20/20 VISION
Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W. Va.) had a 20/20 game against Brown on Nov. 8 where she scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. The last time a Bulldog had a 20/20 game was Holloway against Fairleigh Dickinson last season. During the second meeting with Brown in the 2018-19 season, Holloway posted 20 rebounds for a second time. No Bryant player has ever posted two 20+ rebound games in a single season in the D1 era.
NEW KID ON THE BLOCK
Taty LaFrance Boyce (Norwich, Conn.) has made her way into the starting lineup the past three games. She has become a major contributor for the Bulldogs as she continues to score a career-high in every game. Most recently, Boyce posted 17 points and was Bryant's second-leading scorer by just one point against Brown.
DROPPING DIMES
Kierra Palmer (Aberdeen, Md.) led the Bulldogs in their season opener at UMass Lowell with nine assists. She currently leads the Bulldogs with 37 assists so far on the season ranking her second in the NEC.
PICKING POCKETS
This season, Naomi Ashley (Hamilton, Ont.) and Palmer lead the Bulldogs with 15 apiece so far on the season. Ashley grabbed a season-high of seven against Brown on Dec. 1 and Palmer tied her season-high of three in the same contest.
Ashley led the NEC in steals per game last season swiping almost three a game. Compiling 83 steals for the season, Ashley is ranked third all-time at Bryant for steals in a season and second all-time for steals in a game as she stole a career high of nine.
ENERGY OFF THE BENCH
Masey Zegarowski (Hamilton, Mass.) led the Bulldogs last game at Boston College with 14 points. The junior was the only player for the Black and Gold to sink a three in the game shooting 3-of-6 from behind the arc.
BOARDING SCHOOL
After the first seven games of the 2018-19 season, Bryant has out-rebounded all of their opponents except for West Virginia, Brown, and Providence where the Black and Gold matched all three opponents on the glass. The Bulldogs were out-rebounded for the first time against Boston College, 47-37.
Bryant is currently ranked first in the conference for rebounds led by Sydney Holloway who leads the Bulldogs with 110 total rebounds also ranking first in the conference. Holloway is also first in the NEC for defensive rebounds per game with 8 and second with 5 offensive rebounds per game.
CHARITY STRIPE
Bryant leads the conference and is 10th in the country for free throw attempts with 205. They also lead the conference in free throw makes with 133 giving them a percentage of 64.9. Sydney Holloway also leads the conference with 54 free throw attempts so far this season. Holloway averages six attempts per game.

The Bulldogs take a 21-day break in between games and will be back in action after the holidays on December 30 when they host Holy Cross at the Chace Athletic Center at 2 p.m.
