Bryant travels to Mount St. Mary's for Saturday showdown
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After posting a 1-1 record in the first weekend of Northeast Conference play, the Bryant University women's basketball team hits the road for Kierra Palmer's (Aberdeen, Md.) home state to take on Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, January 12 at 1 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
Bryant goes on the road for the first time during the conference schedule to meet with Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, January 12 at 1 p.m.

The Mount posts a 6-7 record and has lost both conference games against Robert Morris and Saint Francis U.
Juliette Lawless led Mount St. Mary's in both conference games scoring a total of 46 points over the weekend. The senior averages 18.8 points a night.
Maria Marchesano leads the Mount in her second season as head coach.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday is the 20th all-time meeting between the two teams as Bryant took the series record last season, making it 10-9 in Bryant's favor.
The Bulldogs split with the Mount last season as both outcomes came within five points. The Mount took the first meeting last year, 68-63, in Smithfield while the Bulldogs responded with a 67-64 victory in Maryland.

Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W. Va.) led the Black and Gold with her second 20/20 performance of the season, her third 20-rebound performance.
SEEING DOUBLE
Junior forward Sydney Holloway tallies ten double-doubles so far this season, 29 for her career, leading the NEC. Holloway ranks tenth in the country for her double-double efforts averaging a double-double a night with 19.0 points per game and 13.0 rebounds per game.
20/20 VISION
Sydney Holloway has posted two 20/20 games this season. The first against Brown on Nov. 8 where she scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds and again on Jan. 7 against St. Francis Brooklyn where she compiled 20 points and 20 rebounds. The last time a Bulldog had a 20/20 game before this season was Holloway against Fairleigh Dickinson last season. During the second meeting with Brown in the 2018-19 season on Dec. 1, Holloway posted 20 rebounds for a second time. No Bryant player has ever posted more than one 20+ rebound games in a single season in the D1 era.
DISHING IT OUT
Kierra Palmer led the Bulldogs with a season-high 10 assists in conference opener vs. LIU Brooklyn. She currently leads the Bulldogs with 56 assists so far on the season and is ranked second in the NEC for assists per game with 4.5. Palmer is 31 assists away from 500 and only six players in NEC's history has ever reached the milestone.
ZEGA-WHO?
Junior guard Masey Zegarowski (Hilton, Mass.) was a major contributor in Bryant's Northeast Conference opening weekend scoring a season-high 16 points against LIU Brooklyn, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from three. Zegarowski hit two back-to-back three's late in the fourth quarter to regain the lead and push the Bulldogs past LIU. She followed up her performance against St. Francis Brooklyn scoring 10 points shooting 3-of-11 from the field.
HALEY CONNORS FOR THREE
Senior guard Haley Connors (West Hartford, Conn.) started off the season hot as one of Bryant's top scorers scoring a career-high 18 points in Bryant's home opener against Brown. Connors has since went on a scoring draught in December scoring a total of just five points across four different games. After the 21-day break, Connor's hot hand has come back as the senior scored 14 points against Holy Cross shooting 6-of-9 from the field and sinking the only two three's for the Black and Gold. The senior followed up the Holy Cross game with another 14-point performance against conference foe LIU Brooklyn shooting 4-of-13 from the field sinking four three's.
BOARDING SCHOOL
Bryant is now second in the NEC with 539 rebounds posting 41.46 rebounds per game. The Bulldogs have only been outrebounded twice this year at Boston College, 47-37, and Holy Cross, 51-34. The Bulldogs were even wtih West Virginia, Brown, and Providence. Holloway leads the Bulldogs and the conference with 169 rebounds ranking her 8th in the country. The junior forward also leads the conference with most offensive rebounds a game with five as she ranks third in the country in that category.
CHARITY STRIPE
Bryant is second in the conference for free throw attempts, behind Saint Francis Brooklyn, and 62nd in the country with 283. They are also third in the NEC for free throws made with 188 giving the Bulldogs a percentage of 66.4%. Sydney Holloway is second in the conference in free throw attempts (88) and free throws made (56).
