Bryant takes on the Mount on ESPN3 Saturday

EMMITSBURG, Md. – The Bryant University women's basketball team looks to even the score with Mount St. Mary's as they hit the road for a Saturday clash on Jan. 25 in Emmitsburg. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. and the game can be viewed on both ESPN3.

THE MATCHUP
The Bulldogs meet with Mount St. Mary's for the second time this season on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. Bryant looks to even the score this season after falling to the Mount, 76-70, earlier this season in Smithfield. Despite the six-point setback, the Bulldogs still hold the all-time series record, 12-10, and the two teams are tied at five apiece in Knott Arena.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
Since last meeting with the Mountaineers, they still hold the top rank in the NEC for three-pointers made, attempted, and per game, however they are third in the NEC with a 32.3 three-point percentage. The Mount has proven to be an offensively strong team as they also lead the conference with 246 assists and in scoring offense averaging 67.2 point per game. The Mount posts a 10-8 overall record as they are 5-1 during conference play falling to Merrimack, 76-55, for their lone NEC loss.

Michaela Harrison leads the Mount and the conference in three-point attempts hoisting 127 on the year. She also leads the team averaging 11.6 points a game and 14.8 against NEC opponents. When the two teams previously met, Harrison led in scoring with 18 points off seven-of-13 shooting and two-of-either from long distance.

LAST TIME OUT: LONG ISLAND
Bryant grabbed its second NEC win of the season over LIU, 57-53. Masey Zegarowski (Hamilton, Mass.) and Nicole Gallagher (Foxboro, Mass.) led the Black and Gold with 11 points apiece followed by Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W.Va.) with 10. Sophomore Trinity Bravo (Bridgeport, Conn.) dished out six assists for the second-straight game and the Bulldogs also posted a new season-high in team steals with 15.

BEGINNERS LUCK
Gallagher posted four consecutive double-figure scoring performances in her NEC debut. Gallagher leads the Black and Gold averaging 11.6 points a night against conference foes. The rookie also leads the team by a wide margin in made three-pointers with 12 through the first five conference games.

BRAVO!
Bravo has stuffed the stat sheet since the beginning of conference play. Bravo has posted double-figure scoring in three of the first five NEC games including a career-high 16 points at Merrimack. Recently, Bravo posted back-to-back six assists games against both Mount St. Mary's and LIU. The sophomore leads the team with 27 steals on the year and 16 during conference play. She also is tied with Zegarowski as the team leader in assists against NEC opponents with 16.

I WANT KANDY
Junior guard Kandis Taylor (Sunrise, Fla.) has seen the court more this season than in previous years averaging 16.6 minutes a game compared to the 10.2 that she averaged just one year ago. The 5-7 guard played a season-high 21 minutes at FDU scoring a career-high seven points shooting five-of-six from the stripe. Taylor has dished out nine assists so far during the conference schedule and swiped 11.

THREE'S A COMPANY
The Bulldogs posted at least three double-digit scorers in 11 games so far this season. The Bulldogs are 4-4 when posting three double-digit scorers and 0-3 when posting four double-digit scorers in a single game. Bryant recently posted three double-digit scorers in its win over LIU led by Gallagher and Zegarowski with 11, and Holloway who added 10.

BOARDING SCHOOL
The Bulldogs are now first in the NEC in rebound margin with 1.2 and are second in offensive rebounds per game with 13.8.  Recently, Bryant outrebound LIU, the conference leader, in offensive rebounds.
