Bryant heads to Albany tomorrow

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Bryant University women's basketball team heads to New York to face the Great Danes of Albany tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
The Bulldogs are 1-0 all-time against Albany. Bryant defeated the Great Danes 68-55 in Smithfield in the only matchup of the series. Brooke Bjelko led the way for the Black and Gold with 23 points and six rebounds. Bjelko went 11-12 from the free-throw line in the victory. 

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Albany heads into Wednesday's game with an overall record of 1-3. The Great Danes fell to Boston College in their most recent game. Grace Heeps scored 17 points while going 5-for-9 from deep in the loss.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • After Bjelkos 17 point performance against Holy Cross, she has now reached double figures in six of seven games played. Bjelko is also six points away from being 10th all-time on the DI program scoring list.
  • Mariona Planes Fortuny has dominated the paint on the defensive end this season. Fortuny leads the Black and Gold in blocks (9) and blocks per game (1.29).
  • Nicole Gallagher and Alana Perkins have made a three-pointer in all seven games this year.
  • The Bulldogs lead the Northeast Conference in rebounds per game (37.57) and rebounding margin (5.6).
  • Fatou Jallow has dished out 25 assists and is averaging a career-high 3.6 assists per game.
