Castagne records career-high in loss to MSM
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Lucie Castagne of the Bryant University women's basketball team recorded a career-high 11 points to go along with six rebounds in the 68-52 home loss against Mount St. Mary's this afternoon.
Fatou Jallow posted 13 points, and Brooke Bjelko tallied 10 points.

How it Happened
- Mount St. Mary's started the first quarter on an 8-0 run. The Bulldogs responded with an 11-1 run to close the quarter (11-9). Castagne recorded five, Jallow had 4, and Bjelko tallied two points.
- The Mountaineers tied it up at 14, three minutes into the quarter, and then earned a 28-24 lead. Mariona Planes Fortuny scored six, Bjelko recorded two, and Jallow had five, including a buzzard beater three-pointer from the wing.
- Bjelko started the third quarter on fire as she hit three straight jumpers. The Black and Gold were outscored 24-17 resulting in a 52-41 deficit for Bryant. Castagne tallied four, Perkins hit a three, Juliette Golden and Fortuny recorded two.
- The Black and Gold were outdueled 16-11 in the final period, which led to a 68-52 defeat.
