SOMERSET, N.J. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse team was picked to finish fourth in the Northeast Conference preseason poll by the conference's nine head coaches, as announced Thursday by the conference office.

Defending NEC champions Wagner takes the top spot with six first-place votes followed by Mount St. Mary's with three. Robert Morris edged out the Bulldogs for the third spot in the top three. LIU, Saint Francis U, Sacred Heart, Merrimack, and Central Connecticut round out the nine-team poll.

The Bulldogs return over 60 percent of its scoring from one year ago including First Team All-NEC selection Caitlin Breglia (Long Beach, N.Y.) and All-Rookie Team honoree Alexa Weber (South Windsor, Conn.). On the defensive side, sophomore goalkeeper and All-Rookie Team selection Giana Kapoosuzian (Merrick, N.Y.) returns between the pipes after compiling 172 saves on the year ranking second in the NEC.
