Weber earns NEC Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. – Sophomore Alexa Weber (South Windsor, Conn.) of the Bryant University women's lacrosse team has been named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the conference office.

Weber shattered Bryant's all-time single-game goal record when she poured out nine on Friday to help the Bulldogs top UMass Lowell, 16-10. The sophomore also led the team with a career-best four groundballs and two caused turnovers, as well as securing a career-high of four draw controls. Weber leads the team with 19 goals so far on the year to go along with 21 points.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, March 11 when they head to Virginia for spring break for a pair of contests against Longwood and VCU. Bryant returns home for its non-conference finale on Wednesday, March 18 when they host UConn.
