Bulldogs to Face Holy Cross Saturday Afternoon

WORCESTER, MA-  The Bryant women's lacrosse team will look to continue their winning ways this weekend as they make the short trip north to take on Holy Cross. The Bulldogs will be led by junior Skylar Simmonds, who earned NEC Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Simmonds earned conference honors after scoring seven goals on seven shots in Bryant's win over Columbia on Saturday. She leads the Bulldogs with nine goals and nine total points this season. 

  • Kenna Kaut has been named an NEC Prime Performer in each of the first two weeks of the season. She is second on the team with eight points (6 G, 2 A).

  • Peyton Woodward and Cassidy Burns are tied with the team lead with four assists so far. Burns has four points this season, giving her 99 in her career.

  • Bryant is 4-3 against Holy Cross in all sports this season. Two of those wins came courtesy of the volleyball team in August and September. 

Scouting the Crusaders

  • Holy Cross goes into Saturday's contest 1-3 this season, their lone win a 13-6 defeat of UMass-Lowell. They played just six games last season, going 2-4 (1-3 Patriot).

  • Player to Watch: Senior attack Jolie Creo leads the Crusaders with 19 points and 15 goals through four games. She had seven goals in their most recent game vs. Brown

  • The Bulldogs have won their last four matchups with the Crusaders, the last game being a 14-3 win in Smithfield in 2017.
