Bulldogs Play Quinnipiac on Wednesday

HAMDEN, CT- The Bryant women's lacrosse team will play the penultimate game of their season opening road trip on Wednesday at Quinnipiac. The Bulldogs have gone 2-1 in the first three games of their five game road swing, including back-to-back victories over Columbia and Holy Cross.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Skylar Simmonds, Chamberlaine Bell, and Kenna Kaut were named NEC Prime Performers this week for their play at Holy Cross. Kaut led the team with four goals in the game and Bell led with six total points. Simmonds scored three times, including the game winner.

  • Cassidy Burns reached 100 career points with her first quarter goal against the Crusaders.

  • Simmonds has twelve goals on the season to lead the team. Her 4.0 goals per game are also first in the NEC.

Scouting the Bobcats

  • Quinnipiac is 3-1 to start the season, including wins over NEC opponents LIU and Sacred Heart. They went 5-7 (5-6 MAAC) last season, qualifying for the conference tournament. 

  • Player to Watch: Junior attacker Desiree Kleberg leads the Bobcats will nine total points (8 G, 1 A). She has scored three goals in each of the team's last two games.

  • Bryant is 4-3 all-time against Quinnipiac. Their last matchup was a 14-12 Bulldog win in Smithfield in February 2020.
