Bryant Defeats Quinnipiac Inside Conaty for Third Straight Win

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's lacrosse team won its third straight game Wednesday night, taking down Quinnipiac inside the Conaty Indoor Facility. Kenna Kaut led the way with five goals and two assists for the Bulldogs.

How it Happened

Q1: The Bulldogs got off to a hot start, scoring the game's first four goals. They would end up scoring six times in the opening period, with Cassidy Burns assisting on four of the goals.

Q2: Quinnipiac found some offense in the second, outscoring Bryant 5-4. The Bulldogs were aided by back-to-back goals from Margaret Adams to start the quarter, and went into the break with a four goal lead.

Q3: Neither team found much offense in the third, scoring just two goals apiece. Kaut and Adams continued their strong games for the Bulldogs with goals in the period.

Q4: After a Bobcat goal to open the fourth, Bryant pulled away with four straight scores. They were able to keep Quinnipiac at bay for the rest of the game, ultimately maintaining a seven goal advantage to the final horn. Six different players found the net for Bryant in a high scoring final period.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Kenna Kaut's five goals and two assists were both season highs, and her seven total points tied the most by a Bulldog in a game so far. She has now scored at least three goals in each game this season.

  • Margaret Adams' four goals are a new career high, and the game marks the first time she's had multiple goals in a game.

  • Cassidy Burns' five assists led the passing game for Bryant. Her twelve assists lead the team this season.

  • The Bulldogs dominated the draw battle, winning 23 of 33 draws with Emily Diaz as the primary specialist.

The Bulldogs will be back in action next Wednesday, taking on New Hampshire in Durham at 2:00pm.
