Cronin scores in 3-1 loss versus Binghamton

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Katie Cronin of the Bryant University women's soccer team scored her first goal of the season off a cross from Chae Diani in the 3-1 loss to Binghamton at the Bulldog Soccer Field Thursday afternoon.

"I was pleased with our energy and effort to start the second half. Our goal was the result of a great cross and determined running in the penalty box. We will keep working to show that same fight and determination at both ends of the field for the entire 90 minutes".

• 34th minute - Binghamton 1, Bryant 0 - The Binghamton forward struck a ball from 15 yards to the left post, which got past the outstretched arms of the Bulldog goaltender.
• 54th minute - Binghamton 2, Bryant 0 - Stefania Piantadosi took the ball to the right corner and crossed the ball in front of the net for a header from Maya Anand.
• 55th minute - Binghamton 2, Bryant 1 - Diani took the ball down the right side of the field for the Bulldogs and crossed it to the left side of the net, and then Cronin finished it with her right foot.
• 59th minute - Binghamton 3, Bryant 1 - The Bearcats scored the final goal of the game on a header from a corner on the right side.
