Bryant loses to Holy Cross 3-0

WORCESTER, MASS. - The Bryant Univeristy women's soccer team fell to Holy Cross 3-0 on the road this afternoon.

Coach Bigg's Comments

 "After a really bright start -- we had a great opportunity after some terrific play right from the kick-off -- their first goal against the run of play rattled us.  Before we recovered one goal had become two. We again started well in the second half but conceded a goal on the counter. We'll continue to keep working to be more decisive and consistent over the course of each game".

•  Holy Cross scored their second goal of the game in the 22nd minute to extend their lead to two.

Scoring Summary

• 7th minute - Holy Cross 1, Bryant 0 - The Crusaders started a breakaway in the middle of the field and then sent a through ball to the left, which the Holy Cross forward corralled and shot past the Bryant goalie with her left foot.
• 22nd minute - Holy Cross 2, Bryant 0 - Ashley Blaka sent a cross from the right side that found the top left corner of the net.
• 62nd minute - Holy Cross 3, Bryant 0 - The Holy Cross forward took the ball down the right side and rifled a shot to the left of the goal with her right foot.

• Jordyn Collins, Katie Cronin, and Catherine Bean each recorded three shots and one on goal.
• Hailey Koons tallied one shot on goal.
• Jessica Rinaldi had four saves against the Crusaders.
