Cronin scores twice in Bulldogs 3rd win in a row

SMITHFIELD, R.I - Katie Cronin of the Bryant University women's soccer team scored two goals in the Bulldogs 5-3 win over Mount St. Mary's. This is the Black and Gold's third win in a row.

"Our team showed a lot of character in fighting to tie the game three times today before eventually taking the lead for good. And we scored five brilliant goals along the way. In many ways, today's game revealed our potential, and we'll keep working toward playing at our best level more and more consistently".

Scoring Summary

• 1st Minute - MSM 1, Bryant 0 - The Mount St. Mary's forward ran from the right side of the field, and lofted it over the Bryant goaltender.
• 10th minute - Bryant 1, MSM 1 - Emma Pedolzky sent the ball in front of Catherine Bean, who corraled it and riffled the ball to the top right of the net.
• 42nd minute - MSM 2, Bryant 1 - Mount St. Mary's scored their second goal of the game on a header that was set up by a corner.
• 48th minute - Bryant 2, MSM 2 - Cronin took the corner from the left side of the field and sent a cross in front of the goal, which Jordyn Collins headed in to tie the game at two.
• 57th minute - MSM 3, Bryant 2 - The Mount St. Mary's midfielder went on a solo break and shot the ball in the top corner of the net for the goal.
• 63rd minute - Bryant 3, MSM 3 - Bean corraled a corner and then sent a pass to Cronin, who scored the goal with her right foot.
• 69th minute - Bryant 4, MSM 3 - Pedolzky ran the length of the field and then stopped just short of the box and sent a shot to the top right corner of the goal past the MSM goaltender.
• 83rd minute - Bryant 5, MSM 3 - Rachel Roman passed the ball to Cronin who then kicked the ball to the right side past the outstretched hands of the MSM goaltender.

Notes and Notables

• Cronin had two goals and an assist. This is the first time in her career that she has scored two goals in a game.
• Pedolzky had a goal and an assist.
• Collins scored her first career goal.
• Roman dished out her first assist as a Bulldog.
• Bean netted her fourth goal of the season and had an assist.
• Bryant outshot the Mountaineers 16-6.
