Biggs adds four to Class of 2026

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Head coach Andy Biggs of the Bryant University women's soccer team is excited to welcome four players from the class of 2026 to Smithfield.

"We are very happy to welcome the class of 2026 to Smithfield.  Each is a talented and hardworking student and athlete, and their abilities will make them an excellent fit for our program", Coach Biggs said. "We are looking forward to having them join up with the team in August and to their many contributions to our success in the coming years".

 

Madison Luke | Forward | Clinton, N.Y. | Clinton High School (Syracuse Development Academy)

Before Bryant: Four-year letter winner at Clinton High School... Tallied a total of 58 goals and 27 assists during her career. As a sophomore, she was named to the All-Section 3 B team, made the conference all-star team, and received the award for offensive MVP. During her senior season, Luke recorded 32 goals and 21 assists... She also was selected to the All-Section 3 B team and received the honor of MVP of the Section 3 tournament... Luke scored a goal in the first 17 seconds of a game this season, which broke a school record... Luke led the SDA 04 Blasters club team to back-to-back National Championships in 2016 and 2017... Member of the National Honors Society.

Personal: Daughter of Kyle and Laura Luke... Has three sisters and one brother.

 

Ava Melia | Defender | Hanson, Mass. | Whitman- Hanson Regional High School (South Shore Select)

Before Bryant: Four-year varsity starter for the Panthers... A three-time Patriot League All-Star... Named to the All-Eastern Massachusetts team in 2019 and 2020... Won the Defender of the Year trophy in 2019 and followed that up with the honor of MVP in 2020... Received the Coaches Award in 2016 and 2019 on the South Shore Select club team... Also led her club team to a National Championship in 2017... Member of the National Honor's Society.

Personal: Daughter of James and Janet Melia... Has one brother.

 

Selena Negron | Goalkeeper | Easthampton, Mass. | Williston Northampton School (NEFC West)

Before Bryant: Four-year letter winner at Williston Northhampton School... Recorded a total of 258 saves in her career with 12 shutouts... Named Team MVP for three consecutive years... Led her team to the 2019 NEPSAC Class B Quarterfinals... A two-time WWNEPSSA All-League member. Was named to the All-NEPSAC and All-State Team team in 2019... Won the Massachusetts State Cup Championships with her club team in 2018 and 2019... Helped her club team win the US Club Soccer's U16 National Cup XVIII Finals Championship in 2019... Honor Student.

Personal: Daughter of Mikilani and Joselito Negron... Has one twin sister.

 

Jennah Quill | Defender | Raynham, Mass. | Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School (New England Surf)

Before Bryant: Played varsity for three years at  Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School... Made the SEC All-Star team three times... Was ranked the number one player in the SEC conference... A two-year captain on her team... Two-year All-Scholastic member and was named to the Eastern-Mass All-Star team... Captain of her club team in 2020 and received the honor of Player of the Week twice in 2021... Member of the National Honor's Society.

Personal: Daughter of Julie and Vincent Quill... Has two brothers and one sister.
