Women's Soccer celebrates 21-22 season

Smithfield, R.I. The Bryant University women's soccer team celebrated the 2021-22 season with their annual banquet on Friday.

 

Team MVP/Offensive Player of the Year - Katie Cronin

Cronin started in 17 games for the Bulldogs this season. She put up the best offensive season of her career, and Cronin posted career-highs in goals (7), points (15), and GWG with three. The Massachusetts native will finish her tenure as a Bulldog with 12 goals, three assists, and 27 points. She also was the fifth player in program history to be selected to the NEWISA Senior Bowl. Cronin was one of three players with 10+ points.

 

Rookie of the Year - Emma Pedolzky

Pedolzky received All-NEC second team and NEC All-Rookie team honors. Pedolzky tallied four goals, five assists, and 13 points in her first season as a Bulldog. This year, three of Pedolzky's goals were game-winners, and she also set up the game-winning goal against CCSU. Pedlozky was one of three players with 10+ points.

 

Most Improved Award- Nina Singer

Singer played in all 18 games for the Black and Gold as a defender. She was a vital part of the Bryant defense that produced a GAA of 1.24. Singer went from playing five games as a freshman to 18 as a sophomore.

 

Defensive MVP/Core Values Award - Eleni Spiratos

 As one of the Bulldog captains this season, she embodied what it is to be a teammate. She led her team on and off the field, recorded her first career assist, and scored the game-winning goal against Vermont on September 12th.
