SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's swimming and diving hits the pool again on Friday evening, when they make the short trip to Providence, R.I. to take on the Friars.

Junior Alyssa DiFiore (Wethersfield, Conn.) won both of her distance races, and senior Kelci Abernethy (Chandler, Ariz.) took home a pair of second-place diving finishes in the Bulldogs' loss to Boston College.

Last Meet with Providence

Senior Jillian Rice (Trumbull, Conn.) finished a perfect 4-for-4, with wins in the 100 free and 200 free, as well as both relays, and sophomore Alexa Rivera (Boynton Beach, Fla.) also had a perfect night, winning the 50 free and 100 fly with two relay wins in Bryant's 196-103 victory over the Friars at the Chace Pool last season.

A bit about the Friars

The Friars women finished fourth at the New England Catholic Invite the first weekend of October, held at Boston College. They compiled a total of 412 points in the two-day meet.

Jennie Bankes earned three second-place finishes to lead the Friars on the night, with a 200 free relay and 400 free relay runner-up, as well as a 200 free (1:58.38) swim that had her second to the wall.
