Kirves and Rivera earn NEC honors

Somerset, N.J. - Alexa Rivera and Kate Kirves of the Bryant University women's swimming and diving team have been named the Northeast Conference Swimmer of the Week and Diver of the Week by the organization on Thursday.

This the second week in a row and the third time overall that Rivera has been named the NEC Swimmer of the Week. Rivera placed first in the 50 free (24.34) and 100 fly with a time of 53.20. She also tied for second in the 100 free with a time of 53.20. This is the fifth time in Rivera's career that she has won this award.

Kirves earned the honor of NEC Diver of the Week for her efforts against UCONN on Saturday. Kirves won the three-meter dive with a score of 203.68. This is the first time in Kirve's career that she has won this award.

The Bulldogs will face off in a road meet against Boston University on Saturday in the last meet of the regular season.
