Chambo named Diver of the Meet for 2nd year in a row

New Britain, Conn. - The Bryant University swimming and diving team competed on the second day of the Northeast Conference Championships and the final day of the diving portion of the competition.

The women are in second place with a score of 88, trailing Sacred Heart by six points. The men hold first-place with a team total of 172.

Coach Keane's Comments

"I'm proud of every single one of these athletes. We have overcome a ton of obstacles throughout the year and their hard work really showed in their performance. Such a great NECs on the diving side. Can't wait to watch our swimmers and already looking forward to next season!".

Notes and Notables

Kyri Chambo completes the sweep and places first in the one-meter dive with a score of 241.20. Gabrielle Ritzer joined Chambo on the podium with a third-place finish (188.25). Kate Kirves received a score of 180.35 to earn fourth-place, and Rose Cunningham posted a score of 114.90. Chambo earned the Diver of the Meet award for the second year in a row.

The Bulldogs, similar to yesterday's results, finished 1-3 in the three-meter dive. Evan Clark took home first-place (256.80), Drew Arnold placed second (229.30), and Benjamin Prouty earned third with a score of 214.15. John Famiglietti and Charles Keen placed fifth and sixth by posting scores of 167.55 and 95.70. Clark and Arnold were both named the Diver of the Meet.
