Women's Swim & Dive wins fourth consecutive NEC title

Carlisle, Pa. - The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team won their fourth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship with a final score of 739.5 at the 2021 NEC Championships.

Notes and Notables

  • The Black and Gold began the evening by placing second in the 200 back. Julia Stenhård recorded a time of 2:01.33.
  • Sammi Grenon earned a silver medal in 1650 free with a time of 17:09.13.
  • In the 100 free, Bryant received a second and third-place finish. Alexa Rivera posted a time of 51.25, and Erin Doruska touched the wall at 51.54.
  • Sara Gendron continued the theme of the night and won a silver medal in the 200 fly (2:04.94).
  • The Bulldogs concluded the night by finishing second in the 400 free relay (3:25.78).
  • Stenhård was named the Rookie of the Meet. This is the second year in a row Bryant has won this award. Stenhård won silver in the 100 fly and 100 back.
  • The Black and Gold won 18 medals during the championships. Three were gold, ten were silver, and five were bronze.
