Bulldogs fall to Hofstra, 4-3, Sunday
CUMBERLAND, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team fell to Hofstra, 4-3, on Sunday morning at ForeCourt.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs picked up a victory at No. 1 doubles but the Pride were able to win at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the point.
- No. 2 went to a tiebreak, with the Pride earning a 7-6 (8-6) victory.
- Five of the six singles matches went to three sets, with the Pride clinching the match with wins at No. 2, No. 1 and No. 5.
- Arianna Oropeza (Weston, Fla.) earned a three-set victory at No. 3, rebounding from a first-set loss to win 4-6, 6-1, 7-5.
- Megan Tan (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and Leanne Kendall (Lakeville, Mass.) also overcame first-set losses to win at No. 4 and No. 6.
