MANCHESTER, Conn. – The Bryant University women's tennis team dropped a tight match to UConn, 4-3, on Sunday morning.

- The Bulldogs opened the morning by grabbing the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
- Leanne Kendall (Lakeville, Mass.) and Manuela Gomez Estrada (Guayaquil, Ecuador) won 6-3 at No. 2, while the Bulldogs won by default at No. 3.
- The Huskies opened singles play with three-straight victories to grab a 3-1 lead.
- Ada Boru (Istanbul, Turkey) got Bryant back in the match with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 2.
- Kendall followed suit at No. 4 with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory to tie the match at 3-3.
- UConn was able to win the match with a three-set victory at No. 6.
