SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team earned a hard-fought 5-2 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday at Fore Court.
The Bulldogs improved to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the Northeast Conference with the win.

"A long match vs. a tough team in Sacred Heart. I definitely think our match yesterday got us into fight mode. We took two of three of the three-set matches. Arianna had a big comeback in the third set, coming back from 4-1 down to win 6-4. Camila took the other three-set match, winning 6-2 in the third. Olivia secured the victory with a straight-set victory."
How It Happened
- Bryant won at No. 2 doubles but fell at No. 1 doubles, setting up Arianna Oropeza and Olivia Rondini to clinch the point at No. 3. The duo posted a 6-4 victory.
- In singles, Bryant and SHU were tied 2-2 before Oropeza's remarkable third-set rally. Her victory made it 3-2 and Rondini closed it with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 6.
