Six from women's tennis named All-NEC

SOMERSET, N.J. – Six members of the Bryant University women's tennis team were recognized with Northeast Conference postseason honors on Friday afternoon.

Ada Boru earned First Team All-NEC in singles and was joined on the First All-NEC doubles team with partner Leanne Kendall. Sarah Hickey and Arianna Oropeza earned Second Team Al-NEC honors in singles. Hickey also earned second team honors with partner Manuela Gomez Estrada. Olivia Rondini was named to the NEC All-Rookie team.

Boru finished the year 3-8 in singles play, going 2-3 against conference opponents. In doubles action, Boru went 5-6 overall. Kendall teamed with Boru at No. 1 doubles, going 5-5 with a 3-2 record against NEC foes.

Oropeza earns All-NEC honors for the third time in her career. She went 6-6 on the year with a 3-3 mark against NEC opponents.

Hickey picked up honors in both singles and doubles after going 3-7 in singles and 7-3 in doubles. She was 2-3 against NEC opponents in singles. In doubles, she teamed with Estrada Gomez to go 5-3 overall and 3-1 in NEC play.

Rondini was one of the league's top rookies this year, finishing 7-3 overall. She was 5-1 against league opponents and split a pair of matches in the NEC tournament.
