Bulldogs fall to Quinnipiac on Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team dropped its official home opener on Saturday afternoon, falling to Quinnipiac 4-3.    

How it Happened

  • Saturday's match was tight throughout. The Bulldogs were able to grab the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Olivia Rondini and Caitlyn Munson opened with a 6-1 victory at No. 3.
  • The Bobcats tied with a win at No. 2 before Leanne Kendall and Sarah Hickey clinched with a 6-4 victory at No. 1.
  • In singles, Quinnipiac won at each of the top three spots and at No. 6 to earn a 4-3 victory. Both No. 1 and No. 3 singles were decided in a third set.
  • Camila Baeza won for the ninth-straight time at No. 4, while Rondini won at No. 5.
