Bryant hosts Big Green Tuesday (7 p.m.)

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Coming off a huge 3-0 victory at St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday, the Bryant University volleyball team will host Dartmouth, Tuesday evening in Smithfield (7 p.m.)

The Bulldogs enter the month of October with a 3-15 overall mark, 1-1 in Northeast Conference play after kicking off league action over the weekend. After falling to perennial powerhouse LIU Brooklyn on Saturday, Bryant put together a fantastic effort on Sunday, blanking the Terriers en route to the 3-0 W. Junior Elena Lohr (Loveland, Ohio) led the way with a single match Division I program record nine aces, while senior Alexandria Clyburn (Cartersville, Ga.) and sophomore Claire Van Dyk (New Richmond, Wis.) combined for 24 of Bryant's 38 kills.

Dartmouth comes to the Chace Athletic Center tonight with a strong 7-5 overall mark despite coming off a 3-0 loss at Harvard on Friday. Paige Caridi leads the Big Green with 101 kills (2.4 k/set), while Stacey Benton and Kayden cook have combined for 470 assists through 12 games. These two teams last met in September of 2010 with Dartmouth knotting the all-time series at 1-1.

The Bulldogs will look to kick off their seven-game homestand with a big win Tuesday night.
