Bryant finishes fourth at Vermont Fall Foliage

SAINT ALBANS, Vt. – The Bryant University men's and women's cross country teams both finished fourth overall at it second-straight Vermont Fall Foliage Invite on Saturday.

COACH SWITZER COMMENTS

Women | "This was one of the best races of the year for the women and hopefully the confidence boost they needed heading into championship season. Ellie stood out today and had one of the biggest improvements of her career, but across the board, people stepped up and I think they surprised themselves with what they were able to run. Each week they continue to raise the bar for themselves and I'm really looking forward to how that momentum carries them into NEC's."

Men | "The men ran a great race today given the tough course conditions they had to endure. By the time their race started, the course was a little torn up and soggy, but that didn't stop them from grinding it out. To have a 31 second split from 1-5 is impressive and shows their continued improvement towards running as a team. The freshmen had breakout races, especially Evan, who ran 1:24 faster than his PR on the 8K course to be out fifth guy today. I'm proud of the mindset switch they took into the race and I think it's going to really help them dial in over these next two weeks."
