Bulldogs have successful showing before NECs

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Bryant University men's and women's cross country posted a solid showing at the CCSU Mini Meet on Saturday afternoon. The men finished ninth out of 13 squads while the women finished 13th out of 16 teams.

The Mini Meet was the last meet before NEC Championship as the Bulldogs are set to return to Central Connecticut on Nov. 2.

COACH SWITZER'S COMMENTS

Men | "This was by far the best meet the men have had all season," said head coach Mitch Switzer about the men's team. "Their focus was on point from the moment we arrived and that carried over into the race where they had some of the best execution this season. It was great to see Jason have a breakout and for a majority of the team, both varsity and sub-varsity, to run PRs. It's a good sign heading into championship week."

Women | "The women continued to improve each and every week but today was the exponential jump we have been waiting for. Sarah had a breakout race for the women and to have five women run faster than our top finisher last year, just goes to show how far the team has come. They're definitely ready for next weekend and I'm excited to see what this group is going to accomplish."
