100 Bulldogs named to NEC Academic Honor Roll

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University student-athletes enjoyed an outstanding Fall 2017 as 100 were named to the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll, including 22 who were named to the NEC's Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The NEC Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above with 765 fall student-athletes qualifying for the distinction in the fall of 2017. Of those 765 student-athletes, 241 were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, an accolade that recognizes those who have maintained a GPA of 3.75 or above. The Commissioner's Honor Roll total represents a 7.1 percent increase from a year ago.

The Bulldogs' 22 NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients included Alexander Evans (Bow, N.H.), Brian Salit (Seekonk, Mass.) and Chris Wrenn (Norton, Mass.) of men's cross country, Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) of women's cross country, Finn Littlefield (Nashua, N.H.), Gavin Rowley (Hampstead, Md.), Joel Schaefer (Granger, Ind.) and Matt Steeves (Southington, Conn.) of football, Trevor Lyne (Feeding Hills, Mass.), Matteo Toti (Rome, Italy) and Zachary Valckenaere (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) of men's soccer, Rachel Benz (Stamford, Conn.), Cayla D'Amico (Grafton, Mass.), Brigitte Donaghy (Toronto, Ontario), Jaden McCarthy (Smithfield, R.I.), Becca Michaud (Westport, Mass.), Kelly Morrissey (Hingham, Mass.) and Amber Thomas (Rochester, N.Y.) of women's soccer, and Sydney Gorski (Chagrin Falls, Ohio), Nikki Kim (River Edge, N.J.), Ally Lunsford (Minneola, Fla.) and Kirstyn Sperry (Phoenix, Ariz.) of women's volleyball.
