NEW BRAUNFELS, TX- The Bryant University Women’s Golf team finished in 6th place this week at the Southland Conference Championships. Jenelle Valera finished 19th and Erin Sullivan tied for 20th overall.

Athletes of the Week
Women's Lacrosse

DeGeorge dominated with a career-high five goals, including the game-winner in a 16-15 victory over UNH. She also tied a career-high in points by adding an assist for six points on the day

Men's Lacrosse

Goltz led the Bulldogs to a 17-11 victory over Binghamton with a career-high six goals, including all four of Bryant’s 3rd quarter-goals. Bryant snaps Binghamton's 4-game win streak against conference opponents.

Softball

Meg Marcel dominated in a series sweep over UAlbany. The Senior third baseman boasted a .571 batting average and left the yard three times, contributing to a 1.857 slugging percentage. She also had a .667 on-base percentage with eight RBIs and three runs scored.

Baseball

Smith led Bryant to a sweep of preseason favorite Binghamton going 8-12 with three doubles and five RBI. He posted multiple hits in all three games, matching his career-high of three hits in each of the last two games.

Women's Lacrosse

Peyton Woodward had her way with the Vermont defense as she tallied six goals and two assists for eight points in the contest. With her outstanding performance, Woodward set new career highs for herself in goals and points

Baseball

Noreiga paced the Bulldogs' offense, leading the charge with a .500 batting average, .636 on-base percentage and 1.071 slugging percentage. Baseball went 4-0 on the week

The women's track and field recorded 192.5 points and took home first place in the Black and Gold Invitational for the first time in program history.

Baseball

Hackett slashed .500/.588/.857 in a 4-0 week for the Bulldogs. This included going 6-10 with a home run and stellar defense in a sweep of America East foe UMBC.

Softball

Kenney went 2-0 with 18 strikeouts in the Bulldogs' America East series win over Binghamton. In game one, Kenney recorded a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts. She had a 2.55 ERA and opponents hit just .179 in 11 innings.

Men's Lacrosse

Lonsinger scored five goals in Bryant's 17-2 victory in their America East home opener vs. UMass Lowell. The five goals are a season-high for the sophomore.

Field Hockey

Rauff scored the first goal at the brand new Bryant Field hockey astroturf and also added an assist as the Bulldogs beat Merrimack, 3-1. The three points were her first three points of the season. 

Men's Soccer

Valor finished with four points (1g, 2a) in Bryant's victory over Holy Cross last week. He contributed to all three first-half goals and was awarded America East Offensive Player of the Week honors and was named to the TopDrawSoccer and College Soccer News Team of the Week.

Women's Lacrosse

Weber snapped Bryant’s all-time single-game scoring record when she poured out nine in the 16-10 victory at UMass Lowell. The sophomore surpassed Jess Demeo ’19 and Allison Faiola ’10 in the record book and now sits at second all-time with Shaun Leddy ’07 and Faiola with 10 points with an added assist. Weber also tallied career-highs as she led the team with four groundballs and tied her career-best with two caused turnovers. She also added a career-high of four draw controls.

Men's Lacrosse

McGovern tied Bryant’s freshman single-game record for points with eight in Saturday’s 16-5 win at Manhattan. The attackman from Connecticut scored five goals and added three assists, matching the eight-point showing by Marc O’Rourke in 2018 against Mount St. Mary’s. McGovern is the fifth player in Bryant’s Division I history with a game of eight or more points, joining Tucker James – who achieved the feat four times – O’Rourke, Zack Greer and Peter McMahon.

Women's Swimming

Grenon took home two of Bryant’s 11 gold medals this weekend to help the women’s swimming and diving team repeat for the third-straight season as Northeast Conference Champions. The Connecticut native also set new school records in both of her first-place performances. In the 1650 freestyle, Grenon set a record-breaking time of 17:02.34 before setting a new record in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:22.79. Grenon’s dominating NEC Championship debut earned her the title of Rookie of the Meet.
