Bio

Mike MacDonald begins his 13th year at Bryant University in 2022-23 as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. MacDonald deals primarily with camps & clinics, personnel, playing and practice seasons, financial aid and eligibility, and recruiting, as well as assisting with day-to-day compliance activities in the Department of Athletics.

MacDonald has been a key voice among compliance officers in the Northeast Conference and was appointed to the NCAA Student Records Reviews Committee in 2021-22. His appointment will run through Dec. 31, 2025.

Prior to Bryant University, MacDonald was a Graduate Assistant for Compliance at Providence College from 2008-10. During his time at Providence, he assisted in all facets of compliance, including interpretations of NCAA bylaws and overseeing the National Letter of Intent and official visit programs.

A native of Westbrook, Maine, MacDonald graduated from Providence College in 2008 with a degree in History and Theology and in 2010 with a Masters in American History. MacDonald currently resides in Providence, R.I.
