Bio
Sacha Solomon '07
Women’s Tennis
Hall of Fame Class of 2013
The Bulldog women’s tennis team became a conference and regional powerhouse from the very moment Sacha Solomon stepped onto the Bryant University campus. During her career from 2003-07, Solomon helped establish the Bulldogs as one of the most dominant women’s tennis programs in the region, winning her way to four-consecutive NCAA appearances and an ITA Individual Regional Championship.
In her first season in Smithfield, Solomon posted a 14-3 overall record and went undefeated against Northeast-10 Conference opponents with an unblemished 11-0 mark. Solomon would continue to dominate conference play with undefeated records during her sophomore and junior seasons before finally dropping her first conference match as a senior.
Solomon posted a remarkable 61-16 overall record and was 41-3 in four years of Northeast-10 Conference play – all at No. 1 singles. In doubles play, she teamed up with another former standout in Annette Jervasi and the duo formed one of the top doubles tandems in the region as well.
A four-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection, Solomon was recognized as the 2004 NE-10 Rookie and Player of the Year and was twice named the Bryant University Athlete of the Year.
