Jason Sullivan begins his fifth year at Bryant University as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations (Sports Information Director), and his 14th year in the Sports Information profession. At Bryant, Sullivan oversees the publicity of Bryant's athletic teams, including all publications, press releases, game programs, game statistics, web site design and content, and photography.
Sullivan was at Division I Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. from 1993 to 2002, serving as the Assistant Director of Media Relations from four years before being named Assistant Athletic Director of Media Relations in 1997, a position he held until 2002.
While at Cal Poly, Sullivan oversaw the public relation and promotions for 20 Division I Intercollegiate sports, including all publications and weekly news releases. In addition, Sullivan designed and implemented Cal Poly's new athletic web site, GoPoly.com and handled play by play and color analyst duties for Cal Poly's football, basketball, and baseball radio broadcasts.
In addition to his role within the Cal Poly Athletics Department, Sullivan was an instructor in the computer science department and served as a guest lecturer with the university's journalism department.
A member of the United States Basketball Writer's Association, Words Unlimited, CoSIDA, and ECAC-SIDA, Sullivan is a 1994 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He currently resides in Providence with his wife Cheryl.
