Baseball Wins Fourth Straight 6-2 over Saint Anselm

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant Baseball team won its fourth straight game Tuesday afternoon 6-2 over Saint Anselm, behind a complete game from Dan Lozeau (Pelham, NH).

Lozeau allowed two runs, one earned while striking out five and going the distance. He is now 4-0 on the season, 3-0 at home.

The Bulldogs scored in each of the game's first five innings. CF Nick Campbell (Raynham, Mass.) created the game's first run, leading off with a single, going to second on a stolen base, advancing to third on ground out, and scoring on an error.

They made it 3-0 in the second, when 2B Dave Muscatello (Hopkinton, Mass.) grounded out to score 3B Jay Alexander (Simsbury, CT), and SS Pat McKenna (Orange, CT) doubled and scored on a two-out RBI single from LF T.J. Magnell (Leominster, Mass.).

1B Mike Rocco (Tewksbury, Mass.) led off the third with a double and scored on a RBI groundout from DH Dylan Stone (Portsmouth, RI). With that double, Rocco is now four hits shy from being the fifth Bulldog to reach 200 hits.

Stone also drove home RF Taylor Ferguson (Charlton, Mass.) in the fifth, by hitting into a fielder's choice.

Pegged as the team's fourth start, Lozeau has been outstanding all season. He has a 3.69 era while hurling a team-high 46.1 innings this season, including an 11-inning performance against Bentley in Florida earlier this season.

The Bulldogs (18-12, 11-3 NE-10) will visit Saint Anselm Wednesday (3:30 p.m.). The game was originally scheduled for Thursday but was moved to Wednesday due to a possible storm.
