Bulldogs Eight-Game Winning Streak Ends in 7-0 Loss to Bentley College

WALTHAM, MASS. - The Bryant baseball team saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end Thursday afternoon, in a 7-0 loss to Bentley College.

Dan Lozeau (Pelham, NH) lost his first game of the season, as he went seven innings, while allowing six runs (four earned), while striking out six.

Tim Cadran went the distance, shutting out Bryant, allowing six hits while striking out four, improving his record to 2-1.

The Falcons went ahead early, taking advantage of two Bulldog errors in the first two innings to jump out to a 4-0 lead.

3B Jay Alexander (Simsbury, CT) and 2B Dave Muscatello (Hopkinton, Mass.) each had two hits in the losing cause. Alexander has an eight-game hitting streak.

SS Steve Gath became the fourth Bentley play to amass 200 career hits. Gath was 3-for-4 with a double and a RBI for the Falcons.

The Bulldogs (22-13, 15-4 NE-10) take on Bentley again Friday at the Bryant Baseball Complex with first pitch at 3:30 p.m.
