BASEBALL FINISHES SEASON RANKED FIFTH IN NEW ENGLAND IN FINAL NEIBA POLL
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University baseball finished its inaugural Division I season ranked fifth overall in New England according to the final NEIBA Coaches poll released on Tuesday. The voting is done by coaches from all of the New England Division I baseball teams. The Bulldogs were 32-22 on the year and went 12-7 against New England Division I competition and 14-7 overall against New England teams.
The Bulldogs swept two-game sets from URI, Northeastern and Vermont, while splitting with Boston College. Northeastern finished just outside the top-five while BC and URI tied for the top-spot. UConn and Dartmouth are also featured in the poll, both teams taking one game from the Bulldogs this season. Bryant also had wins over Brown, Harvard, Maine and Holy Cross.
