Fabio earns Second Team ABCA All-Northeast honors

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After enjoying a breakout sophomore campaign, Bryant University baseball second baseman Cole Fabio (Mahwah, N.J.) has been named Second Team American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Northeast Region, the organization announced on Wednesday.

The honor is the first career All-Northeast honor for Fabio, a First Team All-NEC and a Second Team All-New England selection already this year. He is one of three players from the NEC to earn All-Northeast honors, joining Wagner's Nick Dini and Sacred Heart's Zack Short.

Fabio appeared in 53 of Bryant's 55 games this spring and hit a team-leading .347. He collected 69 hits, 12 doubles, four triples, two home runs and finished with 95 total bases. Fabio also drove in 31, scored 45 runs, walked 29 times and stole a team-leading 17 bases. He led the team with 21 multi-hit games and also enjoyed a 10-game hitting streak and a 19-game on-base streak during the season.
