Snyder, Lacey combine for no-hitter; Marotta hits walk-off home run on day two of Fall World Series

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Sophomore Justin Snyder (Georgetown, Mass.) and freshman Craig Lacey (Westfield, Mass.) combined to throw a no-hitter and junior Jacob Marotta (Bridgewater, Mass.) hit a walk-off home run to lead Black to a 1-0 victory on the second day of the Bryant University baseball Fall World Series.

Snyder struck out seven over three hitless innings and Lacey finished off the five-inning affair with two hitless innings of his own. He struck out two.

Marotta made Lacey a winner in the bottom of the fifth as he homered over the left field fence. Black has now won each of the first two days of the world series.

Freshman Steve Theetge (Cicero, N.Y.) started for Gold and threw three hitless innings of his own. He walked two and struck out two. Redshirt junior Oliver Powers (Newtown, Conn.) allowed one run and walked one over two innings of relief.
